Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the participation in the Trade Tour to China (“Value Quest Trade Tour”) organized by Value Tag Limited (“Organizer”), a private company registered in Nigeria. By registering for the Tour, participants (“Participants” or “Delegates” or “You”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding with your registration.

2. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them below:

  • “Cancellation Date”: The date on which written notification of cancellation is received by Value Tag Limited via email at info@valuetagsourcing.com.

  • “Company”: Refers to Value Tag Limited, a private company registered in Nigeria, with registration number RC 1215909, and having its place of business at 23A Furo Ezimora Street Lekki, Lagos organizing the Value Quest Trade Tour to China.

  • “Delegate” or “Participant”: Any individual participant registered for The Value Quest Tour.

  • “Deposit”: Refers to the initial payment and minimum fee required to secure a participation slot for the Trade Tour.

  • “Extended Due Date”: Refers to any further extensions after the Final Due Date granted to the Participants for payment of any outstanding amounts of the Tour Fee for the Trade Tour. For the October 2025 Tour, this means 15 September 2025.

  • “Final Due Date”: Refers to the due date by which the full payment or any outstanding balance must have been paid to Value Tag in respect of the Trade Tour. For the October 2025 Tour, this means 30 August 2025.

  • “Force Majeure”: Refers to any unforeseen and uncontrollable event beyond the reasonable control of the Company, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, fire, floods, epidemics, pandemics, strikes, or political unrest or government actions.

  • “Initial Due Date”: Refers to the initial due date for payment of the minimum deposit for participation in the Trade Tour. For the October 2025 Tour, this means 30 July 2025.

  • “Itinerary”: Refers to the detailed but flexible schedule of the Trade Tour, including dates, time, locations, activities, and inclusions.

  • “Participant” or “Delegate”: Refers to any individual or entity who has registered and paid for the Value Quest Trade Tour.

  • “Tour Commencement Date”: 15 October 2025 (or the officially announced start date of the tour communicated in the itinerary or via email to each Participant).

  • “Tour Package”: Refers to the services provided by the Company, including flights, accommodation, visa processing assistance, transportation, guided tours of markets and factories, including visits to the 138th Canton Fair, and other activities as specified in the tour itinerary (excluding any services not expressly included and activities not covered by the Participants.)

  • “Tour Package Cost” or “Price” or “Fee”: Refers to the total cost and full payment due for the Value Quest Trade Tour as specified in the communication or invoice provided to the delegate including the registration fee.

  • “Value Quest Trade Tour” or “Trade Tour”: Refers to the organized trip to China for the purpose of business exploration, networking, and trade-related activities.

3. Eligibility

  • The Tour is open to Nigerian business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and professionals seeking to explore trade opportunities in China.

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.

  • Participants must possess a valid Nigerian passport with at least six (6) months validity from the date of departure.

4. Tour Fees and Inclusions

4.1 The Tour fee includes:

  • Visa support and processing assistance including visa fees for Nigerian residents.

  • Round-trip economy class airfare from Lagos, Nigeria to Guangzhou, China.

  • Travel insurance.

  • Premium accommodation in minimum of 4-Star hotel (single occupancy).

  • Daily breakfast and Group welcome and farewell dinners.

  • Ground transportation in China for Tour-related activities only.

  • Guided tours to the Canton Fair, factories, and business hubs.

  • Business match-making, networking, curated business tour experiences.

  • Experience in 3 cities including Guangzhou, Foshan and Shenzhen.

  • Limited agent support for specific and group factory visits.

  • Limited fun tours and sightseeing within Guangzhou, China.

  • All-Night Spacation.

  • Translation services for general tours (where applicable).

4.2 The Tour fee excludes:

  • Personal expenses (e.g. shopping, additional meals, and entertainment).

  • Agents’ fees.

  • Additional visa costs arising from Participants providing incomplete or inaccurate information.

  • Any costs incurred due to flight delays, cancellations, or other unforeseen circumstances.

5. Registration and Payment

5.1 Registration for the Tour is deemed to be completed by:

  • Submitting the online registration form and paying the Full Tour Fee (as communicated via email or invoice issued to Participants) on or before the specified Payment Due Date. Paying the Full Tour Fee at once and before the Payment Due Date guarantees a priority spot and consideration for discounts at the discretion of the Organiser.
    OR

  • Submitting the online registration form and paying the required deposit of 50% of the total tour fee (as communicated via email or invoice issued to Participants) by the Payment Due Date.

5.2 Payment Structure:

  • At the minimum for all Participants, an initial deposit which is 50% of the total tour fee must be paid on or before the “Initial Due Date”. The payment of the initial deposit (also the first instalment), confirms participation in the tour.

  • The 2nd instalment which is the balance of 50% must be paid on or before the Final Due Date subject to any alternative payment plan option discussed and agreed with any individual Participant.

5.3 Payment Methods:

Payment can be made via bank transfer, credit/debit card, or other methods specified by the Value Tag Limited and as indicated on the face of the invoice. The payment details will be provided to each Participant accordingly.

5.4 Non-Payment Consequences:

  • Non-payment of the balance by the Final Due Date will result in the suspension of your participation.

  • Failure to pay the balance by the Extended Due Date will result in the cancellation of your participation and subject to the Cancellation and Refund Policy in Clause 6 below.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

6.1 General Policy:

The Value Quest Tour is an exclusive boutique tour and does not encourage cancellations once registration is confirmed. However, we recognise that there may be unforeseen circumstances that may make it difficult for a registered Participant to proceed with the tour.

6.2 Refund Policy:

  • Cancellation 31 to 60 days before Tour Commencement Date: Participants will be able to claim 50% Refund of the Tour Package Cost, where full payment has been made or a prorated sum based on the actual payment sum received from the Participant.

  • Cancellation within 30 days or less before Tour Commencement Date: Participants will not be entitled to a refund of the Tour Package Fee.

6.3 Non-Refundable Components:

Regardless of the Cancellation Date, the following costs are strictly non-refundable:

  • Administrative Fee: A flat non-refundable administrative fee of $500 (USD) will be deducted from all refunds.

  • Visa Application Fees: Any fees paid for visa applications are non-refundable once submitted.

  • Ticketed Flight Costs: If the delegate’s economy class return flight ticket (Lagos to Guangzhou, China) has already been issued, the full cost of the ticket (including any change/cancellation penalties levied by the airline) is non-refundable.

  • Specific Vendor Deposits: Any non-refundable deposits made to third-party vendors for bespoke activities, business concierge services, or specialized networking events directly attributable to the delegate’s participation may be deducted, with proof of payment provided.

6.4 Cancellation by the Organiser:

Value Tag reserves the right to cancel the Tour due to insufficient number of delegates or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, Participants will receive a full refund of all payments made.

6.5 Other Flexible Options to Minimize Loss:

To offer maximum flexibility, delegates are encouraged to consider the following alternatives to cancellation:

  • Delegate Substitution: Up to 50 days before the Tour Commencement Date, a registered delegate may substitute another eligible individual within their organisation to take the delegate’s place.

  • Transfer to a Future Tour: If cancelling more than 60 days before the Tour Commencement Date, delegates may request to transfer their payment (less non-refundable costs) as a credit towards a future Value Quest Tour (within 12 months).

6.6 Refund Processing:

  • All eligible refunds will be processed within 45 business days of the Cancellation Date.

  • Refunds will be issued via bank transfer to the account from which the original payment was made.

7. Visa and Travel Documents

  • Participants are responsible for providing all documents and accurate information required for processing their Chinese visa.

  • The Organizer is not liable for visa denials or delays caused by Participants’ failure to provide accurate or complete documentation.

  • In the event of a visa denial, the organisers shall ensure that the refund of the tour fees (excluding the full visa cost) is made to the Participant.

8. Health and Safety

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel and participate in the Tour.

  • Participants must comply with all health and safety guidelines issued by the Organizer, local authorities, and airlines.

9. Code of Conduct

  • Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully at all times during the Tour.

  • The Organizer reserves the right to remove any Participant from the Tour for inappropriate behavior, with no refund provided.

10. Liability

The Organizer is not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or inconvenience caused during the Tour, including but not limited to:

  • Flight delays or cancellations.

  • Loss or theft of personal belongings.

  • Illness or accidents.

  • Changes to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances.

11. Changes to Itinerary

The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Tour itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, political unrest, or logistical issues).

12. Force Majeure

The Organizer is not liable for failure to perform its obligations under these Terms due to events beyond its control (e.g., acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, government bans).

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

  • Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration in accordance with Nigerian law.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the Tour, Participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
